Senior Software Developer:
On behalf of our airline client, Procom is searching for a Senior Software Developer for a short-term role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Senior Software Developer - Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Commercial Technology & Integration services team. This role involves designing and developing modernized microservices and creating high-quality Java software API solutions. The incumbent will work in an agile environment, collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver guest-focused applications.

Senior Software Developer - Responsibilities:
• Design and develop robust, extensible, and high-quality code
• Participate in the creation and evolution of WestJet's design and development methodologies
• Evaluate and select new software development tools and frameworks
• Provide training and share knowledge through presentations/workshops
• Collaborate with internal and external developers to ensure alignment with standards
• Lead the development team in defining functional and design specifications
• Provide accurate estimates for development effort and complexity

Senior Software Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in all phases of software development
• Expert level experience in developing microservices and API using Java and Spring Framework
• Expertise in deploying RESTful API on Azure APIM following IaC approach
• Expertise in version control systems such as Subversion and GIT
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Practical understanding of agile development methods such as Scrum and Kanban

Senior Software Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Having prior airline experience
• Knowledge of JavaScript unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Nock, Mocha, Jasmine
• Knowledge of build automation tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps pipelines

Senior Software Developer – Assignment Length:
3 months with potential for extension until the end of the year.

ASAP.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position with 2 days in the office.
