IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework - Job Description:
The IT Security Analyst will work as part of the Cyber Automation & Defense group, focusing on identifying and mitigating security exposures within the organization. The role involves developing security content and Data Loss Prevention controls to detect and alert for security events, supporting the migration of SIEM systems, and enhancing cybersecurity detection rules.

IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework - Responsibilities:
• Develop security controls and detection rules for alerting and monitoring to mitigate cyber threats.
• Conduct research, design, and enablement of control enhancements.
• Support SIEM migration to a new system.
• Advise on appropriate compensating controls to close security exposures.
• Collaborate with the Cyber Security Operations team to solve complex security problems.
• Communicate problems, solutions, and recommendations to senior leadership.

IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework - Mandatory Skills:
• 2-4 years of experience building security content based on the MITRE Framework.
• Hands-on experience with security controls (SIEM, XDR, NGFW).
• Experience in Data Loss Prevention and Data discovery use case development.
• Proficiency in industry-leading productivity tools for reports and presentations.
• Advanced communication skills in English.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Spanish proficiency.
• Experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC.
• Creative and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent time management skills.

IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment, depending on performance and funding.

ASAP.

IT Security Analyst - MITRE Framework - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in the office per week.
