Job Description

Contract Analyst:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Contract Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Contract Analyst - Job Description:
The Contract Analyst will support the contract management process ensuring efficient and effective procurement and contract administration. This role involves developing contracting strategies, managing pre-award activities, and administering complex contracts within the energy sector.

Contract Analyst - Responsibilities:
• Self-perform in all facets of contract sourcing, procurement, and management
• Develop contracting strategies
• Manage pre-award activities including preparing RFx documents and conducting commercial analysis
• Draft, negotiate, review, and issue contracts and change orders
• Conduct bid, evaluation, and negotiation of equipment and materials
• Draft and issue proper contractual notices and communications to contractors
• Expedite and ensure receipt of contractor contract documents
• Monitor Delegation of Authority (DOA) compliance
• Work within the SAP system to create purchase orders and troubleshoot issues
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to solve contracting issues

Contract Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
• At least 8 years’ experience in contract management
• Experience in the formation and negotiation of commercial agreements
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work efficiently and autonomously
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Live Link Document Storage
• Demonstrated ability to generate solutions to complex contract issues
• Good working knowledge of local, provincial, national, and global contractor communities

Contract Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in SAP & Ivalua
• Experience with Live Link Document Storage
• Poise and credibility in interfacing with internal business partners
• Flexibility and teamwork skills
• Problem-solving capabilities

Contract Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contractor role.
