Technical Project Coordinator 

1-year contract with possibility of extension
On-site work in Ottawa

On behalf of our client we are seeking a highly organized and motivated Technical Project Coordinator to support large-scale connected software initiatives within a fast-paced engineering environment.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented project professional with experience supporting software development teams, Agile delivery processes, and technical program coordination. The successful candidate will assist with Jira planning, release coordination, vendor tracking, requirements management, stakeholder reporting, and cross-functional collaboration across software and connectivity teams.
Candidates with experience supporting technical programs within software, telecom, mobility, or embedded systems environments are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Jira issues, sprint planning activities, dependencies, and release coordination
• Support software delivery execution across engineering, QA, and vendor teams
• Track requirements, risks, blockers, and action items throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare dashboards, project status reports, and leadership updates
• Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders and external vendors
• Support Agile development and release management processes
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and workflow optimization activities
• Utilize modern productivity tools, including AI-assisted workflows and prompt engineering techniques, to improve reporting and operational efficiency
• Help drive alignment across software, hardware, and connectivity-focused teams

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in:
  • Project coordination
  • Technical project management
  • Software delivery support
• Experience supporting software development or engineering teams
• Strong understanding of:
  • Agile methodologies
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Release planning processes
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Jira
  • Dashboard/reporting tools
  • Requirements and dependency tracking
• Experience coordinating vendors and managing project communications
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting hardware development teams
• Familiarity with:
  • Cellular/mobile technologies
  • Telematics
  • Mobile network certification
• Experience within:
  • Automotive
  • Mobility
  • Telecommunications
  • Embedded systems environments
• Exposure to AI productivity tools, LLMs, or prompt engineering concepts

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required
