Job Description

Software Testing Senior Associate

On behalf of our client in the automotive industry, Procom is seeking a Software Testing Senior Associate to join a high-performing Test Automation & Tools Development team. This role supports the development of automated testing solutions for next-generation automotive infotainment and connectivity technologies.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test tools, libraries, and execution frameworks that enable scalable and reliable software validation across vehicle electronic control units (ECUs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software tools and features supporting automated testing initiatives
  • Build and maintain test libraries interfacing with vehicle ECUs
  • Create automated test suites and test scenarios to maximize coverage and efficiency
  • Maintain automated execution environments and triage test results
  • Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to understand functionality and testing requirements
  • Participate in Agile Scrum development sprints and contribute to team deliverables
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose software defects in complex embedded environments

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in test automation and tools development
  • 2+ years of Python development experience with strong object-oriented programming skills
  • Experience maintaining large-scale automated test executions and analyzing test results
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong defect detection and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience working in Linux environments
  • Experience with automation frameworks and tools
  • Exposure to PyTorch

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration systems
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Data analytics and visualization experience
  • Experience with microcontrollers, electronics assembly, and debugging tools (e.g., multimeters)
  • Experience developing tests for ECU power domains
  • Experience using power-related test equipment
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-site, self-directed team environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
