Job Description
Contract Field Operator- HMGP
The role of this person is to be responsible for the ongoing safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of the Pipeline facilities around his / her responsibility. This may include pump stations, truck pits, LACT units, storage tankage, radio towers, river crossing isolation valves, and pig traps / junctions. This person will also interface with Lloydminster Control Room personnel, Pipeline engineering staff, and Maintenance personnel.
Schedule: 8 days on 6 days off, 10 hours days.
Responsibilities:
• This role will have a local focus on the Alberta Gathering System Terminals, Booster Stations, LACTs and the supporting Pipeline gathering systems
• Key stakeholders that this role will partner with are all Midstream Business Units, Third Party Vendors, & various local community members
• Ensure adherence to COIMs
• Promote and support the HRO model
• Follow all government and corporate Policies and Procedures
• Promote and support a strong safety culture
• Support Incident Investigations
• Participate in Hazard Id, Behavioral Observation program
• Provide as needed backfill coverage for cross shift holiday coverage
• Support Corporate and Team annual performance goals
• Support key initiatives and special projects as they arise
• Support maintenance team in the Planning, Scheduling and execution of Maintenance work where required
• Identify and report any opportunities for improvement through the MOC process
• Trouble shooting production & Technical issues
Deliverables:
• Ensure that Regulator & Compliance inspections and checks are completed and uploaded in a timely matter. Enter notifications on any Issues found.
• Operational rounds and facility checks are completed daily.
• Ensuring all safety tickets and CAP-O items are up to date.
• Daily usage of SAP for inputting notifications, updating, and closing out of the work orders. Requesting PO’s to be generated.
• Entering and managing Intelex items for any safety incident. Also, inputting audit and inspections as well plus developing the actions that come out of these items.
• Assisting the Lloyd Control Room with any issues they have with any field location.
• Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained throughout all work areas.
• Assist and troubleshoot facility balances with the measurement group
• Develop and execute work plans for small and big work outages. (Create the isolation, drain down, LOTO plans, and procedures).
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Microsoft excel, work, outlook, etc.
• Experience working with SAP
• Proficiency with computers is required.
• Solid understanding of safety and regulatory standards and procedures.
• Mechanical proficiency/ strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with supplied vehicle (experienced).
• This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Cenovus Drug and Alcohol policy which includes pre-assignment testing.
