On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer - Senior for a 54-week role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer - Senior - Job Description:
The Client is seeking a specialized business intelligence and analytics contractor to enhance delivery capacity in support of an ongoing portfolio of work. The project involves the analysis and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions using various data platform technologies.

Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with SMEs to define reporting requirements.
• Work with City IT Governance team to validate solution architectural proposals.
• Review and update data marts as needed.
• Develop ETL scripts for new tables.
• Develop pipelines within Azure Data Factory.
• Prepare technical documentation for maintenance.
• Train internal support staff.

Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Five (5+) years’ experience in the last 7 years developing and delivering successful business intelligence solutions.
• Experience using PowerCenter Informatica for ETL scripts (5+ years).
• Experience using SAP BusinessObjects for data warehouse universe and reports (5+ years).
• Experience with Microsoft data platform tools (5+ years).
• Five (5+) years’ experience applying data modelling principles.
• Five (5+) years’ experience with database technologies like Oracle or SQL Server.
• Two (2+) years’ experience mentoring developers.

Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of cloud data architecture.
• Experience with Azure security.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps.
• Up-to-date Azure and Microsoft certifications.
• Data virtualization using Denodo.

Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 54-week contract position.
