Risk Management Specialist:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Risk Management Specialist for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton or Calgary offices.
Risk Management Specialist - Job Description:
The Risk Management Specialist is responsible for leading the effective implementation of a risk management framework across the Major Projects Portfolio. This role involves supporting a diversified portfolio of projects, including liquid, gas, and utilities, by managing risk identification, assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
Risk Management Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Lead the effective implementation of client's risk management framework.
• Manage risk identification, assessment, and decision-making to support project execution.
• Coordinate and deliver training sessions to stakeholders.
• Establish and manage risk management plans.
• Facilitate qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and update the risk register.
• Provide technical expertise in establishing risk treatment and control plans.
• Monitor risk response progress and escalate risks as needed.
• Coordinate with Project Teams to facilitate contingency sessions.
• Assist project managers in leading risk-based decision-making.
• Lead facilitation of constructability review and lessons learned sessions.
Risk Management Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks.
• Experience in managing diversified project portfolios.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to facilitate training sessions.
