Senior Financial Analyst - Loans
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst - Loans for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Financial Analyst - Loans - Job Description:
This role focuses on continuous month-end reporting needs, supporting the Commercial and Corporate Controllership team. The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for the integrity of financial and management information used for reporting and business analysis.

Senior Financial Analyst - Loans - Responsibilities:
• Ensure data integrity of the ledger and investigate report discrepancies
• Oversee the completion of the month-end reconciliation process
• Support the team with ad-hoc requirements and project initiatives
• Contribute to month-end activities including journal entries and financial analysis
• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including critical review of journal entries
• Ensure Finance-owned SOX controls are effective and manage exposure to risks
• Drive continuous improvements to strengthen controls and streamline processes

Senior Financial Analyst - Loans - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with financial service institutions
• Proficient in Excel (formulas, VBA, Macros) and familiarity with AI tools
• Ability to investigate accounting issues and processes
• Attention to detail and comfortable with a large volume of data

Senior Financial Analyst - Loans – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Understanding or experience with lending products, terms, and conditions
• Understanding or experience with General ledger applications (SAP, Oracle)
• Current accreditation CPA or equivalent with strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards

Senior Financial Analyst - Loans – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in the office per week.
