Integration Systems Administrator
On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for an Integration Systems Administrator for a 12-month contract role. This job opportunity is an onsite position at our client’s San Antonio, Texas office.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Integration Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise integration platforms, middleware technologies, application servers, and Meter Data Management systems. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, security, and availability while collaborating with technical teams to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and support business-critical integrations.

Approximately 70–80% of this role will focus on system administration activities, including platform maintenance, monitoring, patching, and operational support. The remaining 20–30% will involve development work, primarily focused on IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) integrations, including creating, modifying, and supporting integration flows, message transformations, and API integrations.

Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain enterprise integration platforms including IBM MQ, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), MuleSoft, ActiveMQ, Kafka, and J2EE application servers.
• Support and maintain Meter Data Management systems to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
• Monitor integration platforms and middleware environments to maintain high availability and system performance.
• Configure and support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform system patching, upgrades, and maintenance in accordance with established standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, middleware, and performance-related issues through root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy APIs, services, and integration workflows.

Mandatory Skills:
• Extensive experience supporting middleware technologies including IBM MQ, IBM ACE, MuleSoft, ActiveMQ, and Kafka.
• Strong administration experience with J2EE application servers including IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, and Apache Tomcat across Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) development, including message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute nodes, and integration patterns.
• Experience tuning and troubleshooting Java Virtual Machines (JVMs).
• Strong understanding of file-based integrations including FTP, SFTP, AWS S3, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience supporting API platforms and service-oriented architectures utilizing REST and SOAP services.
• Proficiency with Shell scripting, Perl, DataWeave, SQL, and automation practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) Certification.
• Experience supporting utility, energy, or other highly regulated industries.

Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
