Patient Service Representative:
On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Patient Service Representative for a 6-month contract role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Aurora, Illinois office.

Patient Service Representative - Job Description:
The Patient Service Representative ensures an exceptional experience for patients by managing the check-in and check-out process during appointments. This role involves handling incoming phone calls, responding to patient requests, taking messages, and scheduling appointments to maintain smooth operations and patient satisfaction.

Patient Service Representative - Responsibilities:
• Answer telephones courteously and promptly, following established telephone etiquette.
• Take complete and accurate patient messages.
• Schedule appointments according to providers' guidelines and templates.
• Communicate with clinical staff to keep patients informed about wait times.
• Collect and verify necessary registration information and insurance authorizations.
• Request and collect co-pays and deductibles at registration.
• Maintain the appearance of the waiting room.
• Discharge patients and manage follow-up appointments and recalls.
• Balance individual cash drawer at the end of the business day.
• Manage incoming fax queue and distribute daily mail.
• Assist in orienting and providing ongoing experiences to new staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Patient Service Representative - Mandatory Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Flexible and able to adapt to change
• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Epic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Patient Service Representative – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Some college education
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish

Patient Service Representative – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
