Accountant - IFRS:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Accountant - IFRS for a 15-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Accountant - IFRS - Job Description:
The Accountant - IFRS will support the Chief Accountant's Department in ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role involves providing technical accounting advisory services and assisting in the preparation of consolidated shareholder reports. The position addresses both day-to-day responsibilities and project-based tasks.

Accountant - IFRS - Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary contact for matters relating to the US Retail segment and bank-wide Expected Credit Losses (ECL)
• Provide technical accounting advisory services under IFRS to stakeholders
• Conduct technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos and presentation materials
• Assist in preparing external consolidated shareholder reports and enhancing disclosures
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new accounting pronouncements under IFRS
• Develop strong working relationships with key business partners and stakeholders

Accountant - IFRS - Mandatory Skills:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation
• Minimum 5 years of relevant financial accounting experience
• Experience in researching and resolving complex accounting issues under IFRS
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven analytical skills and sound judgment
• Experience with stakeholder management

Accountant - IFRS – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Expected Credit Losses (ECL)
• US GAAP experience
• Advisory background from a Big 4 accounting firm
• Familiarity with financial instruments and banking-related accounting issues
• Experience in accounting research

Accountant - IFRS – Assignment Length:
This is a 15-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion.

ASAP.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hybrid work arrangement with 4 days in office.
