Accounting Specialist - Senior:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for an Accounting Specialist - Senior for a 9 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Lone Tree, Colorado office.

Accounting Specialist - Senior - Job Description:
As part of the Corporate Controller Unit, the Accounting Specialist - Senior will be responsible for preparing, filing, and reviewing regulatory reports for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. This role involves ensuring compliance with various financial regulations and supporting examinations from regulatory entities.

Accounting Specialist - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Prepare and/or review weekly Customer Reserve computation in compliance with SEA Rule 15c3-3
• Prepare and/or review Net Capital computations in compliance with SEA Rule 153-1
• Conduct FOCUS report review and analysis
• Assess the impact of new client initiatives on existing regulatory filings and procedures
• Review proposed regulations and articulate potential impacts to finance and business leadership
• Prepare the daily Segregation requirement to the NFA
• Provide support during on-site or remote examinations from the entity's regulators (FINRA/SEC, NFA)
• Review reporting and operational processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with 17a-5 and SOX requirements

Accounting Specialist - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years in accounting or reporting related experience
• Strong team player with ability to further partnership with various stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight fitting deadlines
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
