Advisory Accountant - IFRS:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Advisory Accountant - IFRS for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Advisory Accountant - IFRS - Job Description:
The Advisory Accountant - IFRS will provide day-to-day operational support due to a parental leave. The role involves dealing with complex accounting issues, research, and stakeholder communication. The position offers exposure to senior executives and involves addressing challenging accounting issues within a globally recognized company.

Advisory Accountant - IFRS - Responsibilities:
• Act as a subject matter expert on accounting issues, including financial instruments and consolidation
• Review new business/product proposals and advise on related accounting implications
• Conduct technical accounting research, benchmarking, and analysis
• Assist in preparing external consolidated shareholder reports and ensure appropriate disclosures
• Provide technical accounting advisory services under IFRS to stakeholders
• Translate and communicate complex accounting topics to stakeholders
• Manage and develop strong working relationships with key business partners and stakeholder groups

Advisory Accountant - IFRS - Mandatory Skills:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• Experience in researching and resolving complex accounting issues under IFRS
• Worked in a big 4 accounting firm
• Experience with financial institutions
• Proficiency in MS Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
• Attention to detail

Advisory Accountant - IFRS – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in project management
• Auditing experience in a bank or credit union
• Advisory experience in financial institutions
• Experience with IFRS 9 business model assessments
• Experience in preparing accounting policy update materials

Advisory Accountant - IFRS – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension.

ASAP.

Advisory Accountant - IFRS - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position with 4 days in office required.
