AI Software Engineer:
On behalf of our Financial services client, Procom is searching for an AI Software Engineer for an 18-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Ann Arbor, MI 48104 office. 

AI Software Engineer - Job Description:
We are seeking an AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and services. This role will work closely with software engineers, product managers, architects, and data teams to build scalable AI solutions using modern machine learning, generative AI, agent frameworks, and enterprise software engineering practices.

AI Software Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and services.
• Build and integrate Generative AI solutions using large language models (LLMs).
• Develop AI agents, workflows, prompts, tools, and orchestration frameworks.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and knowledge retrieval solutions.
• Build APIs, microservices, and backend services supporting AI workloads.
• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support AI applications in production and participate in troubleshooting and incident resolution.

AI Software Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 3-6 years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience building AI/ML or Generative AI applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience developing REST APIs and distributed services.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, testing, CI/CD, security, and observability.

AI Software Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI, or Gemini.
• Experience building AI agents, MCP-based integrations, tool calling frameworks, and multi-agent workflows.
• Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration like Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud Run.

AI Software Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is an 18-month contract position.

AI Software Engineer - Start Date:
ASAP.

AI Software Engineer - Assignment Location:
Ann Arbor, MI 48104. First 6 months are 100% onsite. After 6 months, hybrid with 4 days onsite and 1 remote day; candidate may choose remote day.
