AI Test Engineering Practice Lead:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for an AI Test Engineering Practice Lead for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Markham, Ontario office. 

AI Test Engineering Practice Lead - Job Description:
The AI Test Engineering Practice Lead will spearhead the strategy and implementation of AI-driven quality engineering across the organization. This role involves developing and optimizing testing frameworks, integrating AI-powered tools, and leading performance engineering initiatives to ensure robust system performance and efficiency.

AI Test Engineering Practice Lead - Responsibilities:
• Define and implement the organization's AI Test Engineering strategy and roadmap.
• Establish standards, frameworks, governance, and best practices for AI-driven quality engineering.
• Evaluate and introduce AI-powered testing platforms and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Develop intelligent test generation, test maintenance, defect prediction, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and pilot programs involving Generative AI and Machine Learning within the testing lifecycle.
• Create reusable AI-assisted testing accelerators and automation assets across teams.
• Design and implement enterprise-wide performance testing and performance engineering frameworks.
• Lead performance strategy for web, mobile, APIs, microservices, cloud-native, and distributed systems.
• Define performance benchmarks, SLAs, SLOs, and capacity planning models.
• Conduct load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability, and resilience testing.
• Identify bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, network, and infrastructure layers.
• Partner with development and architecture teams to optimize system performance.
• Build and enhance automated performance testing pipelines integrated into CI/CD platforms.
• Establish shift-left testing practices and performance validation within DevOps workflows.
• Implement continuous performance monitoring and automated regression testing.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks using modern scripting and programming languages.
• Mentor engineering teams on automation-first testing approaches.

AI Test Engineering Practice Lead - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong experience in AI-driven quality engineering and testing strategies.
• Proficiency with AI-powered testing platforms and tools.
• Expertise in performance testing and engineering frameworks.
• Experience with web, mobile, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in CI/CD platforms and automation frameworks.

AI Test Engineering Practice Lead – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Generative AI and Machine Learning applications.
• Familiarity with performance benchmarks, SLAs, and SLOs.
• Knowledge of modern scripting and programming languages.
• Background in optimizing system performance.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams.

This is a 4 month contract to start
