AML Advisory Consultant:
On behalf of our Consulting  client, Procom is searching for an AML Advisory Consultant for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

AML Advisory Consultant - Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AML Advisory Consultant to support a large-scale AML program transformation and build initiative for GoFundMe. The engagement involves the design, enhancement, and implementation of AML program components across Canada and global jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

AML Advisory Consultant - Responsibilities:
• Support the design and implementation of AML program components, including governance, risk assessment, policies, procedures, controls, monitoring, and reporting.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of AML frameworks to meet Canadian and global regulatory requirements.
• Conduct research and provide regulatory analysis on AML/ATF obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop client-ready deliverables, presentations, procedures, and program documentation.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and working sessions with client teams.
• Review existing AML controls and identify opportunities for enhancement and process improvement.
• Support the creation of risk-based approaches for customer onboarding, ongoing monitoring, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting.
• Assist with project management activities, including tracking deliverables, action items, risks, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with Financial Crimes professionals and client stakeholders to meet project milestones and timelines.
• Provide support for ad hoc AML advisory requests as required throughout the engagement.

AML Advisory Consultant - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in AML, financial crimes compliance, regulatory compliance, or related advisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF requirements, including FINTRAC obligations and regulatory expectations.
• Experience designing, implementing, or enhancing AML compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to develop high-quality documentation and client-facing deliverables.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment with minimal supervision.

AML Advisory Consultant – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience supporting fintech, payments, crowdfunding, banking, or other regulated financial services organizations.
• Familiarity with global AML regulatory frameworks and cross-border compliance requirements.
• Previous experience working on AML program builds, transformations, or remediation initiatives.
• CAMS, CFCS, or similar professional certification.
• Prior experience working with the Financial Crimes team or familiarity with the GoFundMe engagement.

AML Advisory Consultant – Assignment Length:
Contract position for the duration of the AML Advisory engagement, with potential extension based on project needs and performance.

ASAP.

AML Advisory Consultant - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hybrid position with 4 days in office.
