Android Developer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Android Developer for a 5 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Android Developer - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our mobile development team. The role involves designing and delivering solutions for projects related to our mobile banking platform. The developer will work on enhancing existing functionalities and developing new features to improve user experience and project delivery.

Android Developer - Responsibilities:
• Serve as the prime contact with technical experts, project teams, business, and outside vendors
• Work independently and lead as the senior developer, coaching team members
• Ensure accountability for solution design and deliverables
• Collaborate with architects and managers for effort estimates on new projects
• Lead the creation of comprehensive end-to-end solutions
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and standards compliance
• Provide technical support for escalated incidents and outages

Android Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• 5 years of experience in mobile development and 3 years with Kotlin on Android
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose libraries
• Proficiency with development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, Emulator
• Experience with software design patterns like MVC, MVP, and MVVM
• Experience with automated testing via JUnit and frameworks like Robolectric and Espresso

Android Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of analytics tools such as Dynatrace, SonarQube, Crashlytics
• Experience in leading/mentoring technical team members
• Experience working with a distributed team with both onshore and offshore developers
• Experience in the financial services industry

Android Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position lasting until December 11th, 2026, with the possibility of extension or conversion.

Android Developer - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, eventually transitioning to 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
