Application Manager – Site Reliability:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for an Application Manager – Site Reliability for a 9-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Application Manager – Site Reliability - Job Description:
The Application Manager – Site Reliability will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day reliability, health, and operational sustainability of assigned applications, data pipelines, platforms, and services. This role specifically supports the Capital Markets and Total Fund Market Investment Analytics Team, focusing on improving operational efficiency and resilience.

Application Manager – Site Reliability - Responsibilities:
• Operate and continuously improve the reliability and supportability of assigned Product Teams, including applications, data pipelines, platforms, and services.
• Implement and operationalize Service Level Availability (SLAs) and related reliability metrics.
• Develop and maintain health plans for applications, data pipelines, platforms, and services.
• Lead incident response and ensure timely stakeholder communication.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for key incidents and track corrective actions.
• Improve Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Restore (MTTR).
• Perform capacity planning, load testing, and performance analysis.
• Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) and resilience plans.
• Conduct production readiness reviews and partner with various teams to identify risks.
• Monitor vendor services against defined SLAs and escalate issues as needed.
• Apply established practices for source-control, testing, change-management, and release.

Application Manager – Site Reliability - Mandatory Skills:
• 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles.
• Strong understanding of application, data, and platform architectures, and cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience operating and improving highly available production systems.
• Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/DataOps practices.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Application Manager – Site Reliability – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Scripting experience with Python or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting message queue systems and distributed service architectures.
• Expertise in delivery methodologies and IT service management frameworks.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Git.
• Strong collaboration skills with architects, business analysts, DBAs, and QA/test peers.
