Application Release Engineer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Application Release Engineer for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Application Release Engineer - Job Description:
The project involves automation, focusing on delivering automated solutions for building, testing, releasing, and deploying applications and infrastructure. The role includes maintaining development technologies and integrating tools and processes into automation solutions.

Application Release Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Leverage deep technology expertise to deliver automated solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of development technologies and patterns.
• Partner with other teams to integrate tools and processes.
• Work with partners to define best practices.
• Be a subject matter expert in CI/CD practices for multiple platforms.
• Maintain expert knowledge of engineering frameworks and processes.
• Recognize challenges that limit automation and best practices.

Application Release Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Terraform, ARM templates).
• Advanced knowledge in continuous integration and continuous delivery processes and tools.
• Working knowledge of source control systems (Git).
• Experience deploying services to cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Knowledge of database systems including MS SQL, Oracle.
• YAML based configurations.

Application Release Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Advanced script development experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Advanced operating system knowledge (Windows, Linux).
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace).
• Knowledge of Azure systems and networking.
• SQL.

Application Release Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension.

ASAP.

Application Release Engineer - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, hybrid work arrangement with 2 days onsite.
