Application Solutions Consultant:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for an Application Solutions Consultant for a contract role running from October 26, 2026 to January 25, 2028. This is a hybrid position, with the option to work remotely or onsite, based at our client's Winnipeg office. Candidates will be required onsite for the first week for orientation.

Application Solutions Consultant - Job Description:
This role supports the Transit IT division on a new ICIP project (ClearCom, covering bus radio and ITS replacement). Working under the Project Leader, the successful candidate will develop and execute a detailed SDLC work plan, build across the full software engineering lifecycle, and help ensure the solution holds up on performance and reliability.

Application Solutions Consultant - Responsibilities:

• Develop a detailed work plan for SDLC activities to meet project timeline and budget
• Participate in the full software engineering lifecycle: requirements, design, source code implementation, unit test, integration, and system test
• Collaborate with the solution designer and software developers to ensure the solution meets performance and reliability requirements
• Participate in code reviews to improve quality and compliance

Application Solutions Consultant - Mandatory Skills:

• 8+ years of senior full stack software development experience with React, including MUI and Node.js, building large applications with complex API and data integration
• Strong UI/UX and front-end development skills, including component architecture, responsive UI implementation, and translating design specs into polished interfaces
• 7+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
• Experience with Kafka in complex applications

Application Solutions Consultant – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Ruby on Rails and Go
• Solid programming skills with the ability to write structured, readable, and efficient code
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to respond to changing priorities

Application Solutions Consultant – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position running approximately 15 months.
