Application Support Analyst - Trading Systems

Job Description

RBMO is currently sourcing for a Technical Specialist - Application Support Analyst - Intermediate to support Trade Servicing. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (2 days in office per week).

Role Overview:
The Technical Specialist will provide desk support services for Global Structured Products trading, focusing on pre and post-execution events. This role emphasizes ensuring accurate trade bookings, managing product setups, and maintaining compliance with regulations, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency within the trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate trade bookings and amendments are reflected across trading platforms.
- Liaise with trading desk and bank stakeholders to set up new products and downstream flows.
- Act as the first line of defense to mitigate operational risk and maintain adherence to the Approved Product List.
- Collaborate with IT to automate transaction workflows and create monitoring tools for trade activities.
- Participate in system migrations and enhancements, conducting UAT testing to assess trade impact.
- Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies related to positions, trades, and payments.
- Complete end-of-day reconciliation processes and ensure all procedural documents are current.

Must-Have Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- University Degree/College Diploma in a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of vanilla and exotic derivative products including Structured Notes and Equities.
- Experience with project management and testing for onboarding trading platforms.
- Proficiency in applications such as TraderEH, SwapOne, Imagine, Calypso, and Bloomberg.
- Knowledge of financial markets and regulatory oversight.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Capital Markets trading processes.
- Understanding of risk management principles within financial services.
