On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for an Application Systems Analyst - Senior for a 12 month contract. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Application Systems Analyst - Senior - Job Description:
The IT Client Solutions Transportation Project Centre is seeking a Senior Application Systems Analyst to analyze, plan, and implement software solutions in large, complex environments. This role involves working on both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) packages and in-house developed solutions, focusing on enterprise integrations to meet various business unit needs.

Application Systems Analyst - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Gather and analyze user requirements and envision software solutions.
• Perform database modeling and technical analysis.
• Manage project planning, estimating, and team management tasks.
• Coordinate with IT resources, external vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery and transition of software solutions to support teams.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and conduct knowledge transfer.
• Prepare test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Application Systems Analyst - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Seven years' experience implementing software solutions in large, complex environments.
• Seven years' experience in an analysis role translating business requirements into software solutions.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in documenting requirements and project artifacts.
• Experience writing user stories for agile development.
• Experience in Agile practices and the scrum master role.

Application Systems Analyst - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in the public sector or large organizations.
• Experience with IT analysis work such as application design and system upgrades.
• Proficiency in architecture and database design documentation.
• Experience with software development and documentation.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and demonstrate innovation.

Application Systems Analyst - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a contingent position for 12 months.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office.
