Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer for a 5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer - Job Description:
The Agentic Engineering team within Advanced Threat Operations in Global Security is focused on building reliable AI agents to automate portions of the Threat Hunting workload currently managed by human Threat Hunters. The project involves developing AI agents that can navigate, review, and interpret large volumes of security event data, creating reusable patterns for agentic development applicable to current and future investigation agents.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Review workload in Jira and commit to daily goals
• Develop and deploy thoroughly tested features
• Work with subject matter experts to understand problems and propose well-designed solutions
• Stay up to date on recent Agentic AI trends and frameworks, and discuss them with the team to influence direction
• Debug, test, and fix issues identified in agents, and propose process changes to prevent recurrence

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Strong Python skills for enhancing or refactoring existing agents
• Deep understanding of language performance and internals (e.g., GIL, concurrency tradeoffs, memory constraints)
• Proven experience building production-grade AI agents and evaluating them for correctness
• Thorough understanding of LLMs and agentic systems
• Experience with Langfuse for observability and evaluations
• Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL/Redis
• Extensive experience using Claude Code or equivalent coding agents

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with cybersecurity tools (CrowdStrike, Splunk, Mandiant, etc.)
• Familiarity with multiple agent frameworks (Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, AutoGen, custom systems, etc.)
• Experience evaluating tradeoffs between agentic frameworks vs. custom orchestration
