Audit Manager:
On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for an Audit Manager for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Houston office.

Job Description:
CenterPoint Energy’s Audit Manager is responsible for leading risk-based internal audit activities aligned with the approved annual audit plan. The role involves issuing internal audit reports for assigned areas and handling management-requested projects, including investigations.

Responsibilities:
• Lead risk-based internal audit activities
• Issue internal audit reports for assigned areas
• Schedule, supervise, and complete audit projects
• Oversee quality and consistency of audit execution
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with management
• Serve as a trusted advisor on risk, controls, and process improvement
• Train and develop assigned audit staff

Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA, CIA, or other relevant professional certification
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in audit, accounting, finance, compliance, or operational disciplines
• Demonstrated experience leading audit engagements and managing teams
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
• Experience with performance feedback and development planning

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Public accounting and/or utility industry experience
• Experience with SAP, IDEA, Tableau, and TeamMate+
• Knowledge of data analytics and artificial intelligence in audit methodology
• Experience coordinating with external auditors
• Familiarity with the COSO framework

Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract with potential for conversion.

ASAP.

Assignment Location:
Houston, Texas, United States. The position is hybrid with 4 days in office.
