Automation Test Lead:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Automation Test Lead for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office. 

Automation Test Lead - Job Description:
The project involves supporting the delivery of cloud-native applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a focus on frontend test execution using Playwright. The Automation Test Lead will build and execute automated UI test frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines within an Agile delivery model.

Automation Test Lead - Responsibilities:
• Design and develop frontend automation scripts using Playwright
• Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks
• Execute end-to-end, regression, and smoke test suites
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GCP Cloud Build or equivalent)
• Perform cross-browser testing (Chromium, WebKit, Firefox)
• Validate UI workflows and responsive design behavior
• Collaborate with development and business teams
• Track defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Support testing of cloud-native applications on GCP
• Provide reporting on test execution and quality metrics

Automation Test Lead - Mandatory Skills:
• 5-7 years experience as QA Automation engineer
• 2+ years Playwright automation
• Cloud-based testing with GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, App Engine)
• Playwright UI automation expertise and Automation framework design (Playwright Test, POM)
• Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript
• Experience with parallel execution and cross-browser testing
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience

Automation Test Lead – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• React or Angular application testing
• Microservices and containerized environments
• Previous experience Banking/financial services
• Accessibility testing (WCAG)
• Test reporting tools (Allure, Playwright reports)

Automation Test Lead – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is from ASAP to 10/30/2026 with a possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
