Automation Testing SME, Script Developer and Tester:
On behalf of our Utility client, Procom is searching for an Automation Testing SME, Script Developer and Tester for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Automation Testing SME, Script Developer and Tester - Job Description:
The Automation Testing SME, Script Developer and Tester is responsible for supporting multiple Grid Technologies projects by developing, executing, and maintaining both automated and manual testing solutions. This role focuses on leveraging Katalon Studio to design and sustain automated test scripts and frameworks, providing hands-on testing support across various initiatives.

Automation Testing SME, Script Developer and Tester - Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Katalon Studio
• Design reusable automation components and frameworks
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing documentation
• Analyze test results and collaborate with teams to resolve issues
• Provide recommendations on automation best practices
• Support CI/CD and automated testing practices
• Manage automation source code repositories using GitLab

Automation Testing SME, Script Developer and Tester - Mandatory Skills:
• 2–6 years of experience in software testing
• Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio
• Experience in creating and maintaining automated test scripts
• Basic scripting or programming experience
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and defect management tools
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Expertise in test automation frameworks and CI/CD practices

Automation Testing SME, Script Developer and Tester – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Tricentis Tosca, Playwright, Java, JavaScript, GitLab, qTest
• Familiarity with qTest Test Management platform
• Knowledge of AI-assisted automation tools
• Experience in utility or enterprise application projects
• Relevant certifications in test automation or quality assurance

4-month contract position to start

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days onsite per week. Occasional travel to Markham and/or Barrie offices may be required.
