AWS Infrastructure Engineer:
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for an AWS Infrastructure Engineer for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 to 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

AWS Infrastructure Engineer - Job Description:
Seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a large-scale, multi-region cloud transformation. This role will lead complex migrations and modernize legacy platforms into a scalable, resilient AWS architecture. Requires deep hands-on AWS expertise, migration leadership experience, and strong collaboration across business and technical teams.

AWS Infrastructure Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end migration of workloads and regional services into a multi-region AWS environment
• Execute complex database migrations (PostgreSQL, MySQL) across EC2 and RDS, ensuring data integrity
• Modernize container workloads from Docker on EC2 to ECS and EKS
• Design and manage AWS networking (ALB, Route 53, CloudFront, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink)
• Maintain uptime for data ingestion channels (SFTP, APIs, third-party feeds)
• Scale and stabilize platforms like RabbitMQ and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
• Develop cutover and rollback runbooks to enable zero-downtime deployments
• Implement observability using Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager, and ServiceNow
• Build consistent, repeatable infrastructure using Terraform across regions
• Collaborate on architectural challenges, including cross-region replication and tenant isolation

AWS Infrastructure Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering
• Expert knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, EFS) in multi-region environments
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS, and AWS DMS
• Advanced understanding of AWS networking and content delivery
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Nginx, HAProxy, and PHP stacks
• Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices
• Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and RabbitMQ in production

AWS Infrastructure Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in platform engineering or cloud center of excellence teams
• Background in M&A or enterprise consolidation initiatives
• Experience in compliance-driven environments

AWS Infrastructure Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position is hybrid with 2 to 3 days in office.
