Azure Cloud Engineer:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for an Azure Cloud Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. This position is onsite at our client’s Houston office. 

Azure Cloud Engineer - Job Description:
Our client is seeking a senior, hands-on engineer to design, deploy, secure, and operate enterprise Azure infrastructure. The immediate priority is establishing the Azure and Microsoft Fabric / OneLake platform foundation, supporting initial deployment, and assuming ownership through a structured transition from the current contractor.

Azure Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Build governed Azure foundations including landing zones, subscriptions, and resource groups.
• Provision and administer Fabric capacities and workspaces.
• Design and implement VNets, subnets, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity.
• Implement Microsoft Entra ID integration, Azure RBAC, and secure secrets management.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Bicep and PowerShell.
• Establish infrastructure logging, alerts, audit settings, and monitoring procedures.

Azure Cloud Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in IT, including 7+ years in cloud/infrastructure roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience.
• Experience with Azure networking, identity, security, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Service and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Experience implementing secure access patterns and transitioning Azure platforms.
• Strong technical documentation and cross-functional communication skills.

Azure Cloud Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Infrastructure experience with Azure AI services or Azure Databricks.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Familiarity with Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Purview integrations.
• Proven cloud migration and M&A infrastructure integration experience.

Azure Cloud Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a contract-to-hire position; engagement terms to be confirmed.

Azure Cloud Engineer - Start Date:
ASAP.

Azure Cloud Engineer - Assignment Location:
Houston, Texas, United States | 100% onsite, five days per week.
