On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Azure/Databricks Engineer - PySpark, SQL, Tableau, Power BI for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Azure/Databricks Engineer - PySpark, SQL, Tableau, Power BI - Job Description:
The project involves handling increased data volume within a leading financial institution. The role focuses on business-as-usual tasks, including maintaining and optimizing existing data systems and developing new data solutions to enhance business operations.

Azure/Databricks Engineer - PySpark, SQL, Tableau, Power BI - Responsibilities:
• Lead technical aspects of projects from inception through deployment
• Participate in analysis and system design specification sessions
• Document design options and solutions according to SDLC methodology
• Analyze large data sets, draw insights and inferences, and communicate outputs
• Develop algorithms, automate processes, and create data visualizations

Azure/Databricks Engineer - PySpark, SQL, Tableau, Power BI - Mandatory Skills:
• Technical knowledge or experience with MS Azure and Data Management
• Strong experience with PySpark, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI
• Experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Synapse
• Expertise in Data/Text Mining, Optimization, and Algorithm Development
• Ability to read and comprehend data schemas and technical documentation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong statistical and analytical skills

Azure/Databricks Engineer - PySpark, SQL, Tableau, Power BI – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Banking experience
• Project Management experience

Azure/Databricks Engineer - PySpark, SQL, Tableau, Power BI – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with possible extension and conversion based on performance and business needs.
