BI Developer II:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a BI Developer II for a contingent role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BI Developer II - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to lead Finance BI Solutions, focusing on backend Power BI expertise. The role involves delivering end-to-end, production-grade Finance reporting solutions, with an emphasis on data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization.

BI Developer II - Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust Power BI datasets and semantic models to support Finance reporting and planning
• Develop advanced DAX logic for complex financial calculations
• Build scalable, reusable solutions aligned to single source of truth principles
• Integrate and transform data from ERP systems, Excel, and enterprise datasets
• Translate ambiguous Finance requirements into clear, scalable solution designs
• Identify whether requests are defects, enhancements, or new capabilities
• Deliver production-ready solutions that perform reliably under real usage conditions

BI Developer II - Mandatory Skills:
• Advanced hands-on Power BI expertise focused on data modeling, DAX, and semantic model design
• Proven ability to build scalable solutions for complex business requirements
• Strong troubleshooting skills across data, model design, and performance issues
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
• Experience delivering end-to-end, production-grade solutions
• Ability to design models that support multiple reporting use cases
• Strong ownership mindset with focus on delivery and outcomes

BI Developer II – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience working with Azure Databricks and DBSQL
• Ability to trace data from ingestion through transformation to reporting layers
• Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and preparing data for reporting
• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and pipelines
• Working knowledge of Finance reporting
