Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL for a 3 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office. 

Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL - Job Description:
The project involves designing, developing, and maintaining critical banking applications to meet business and customer needs. The ideal candidate will work on enhancing existing platforms and integrating new technologies to improve functionality and efficiency.

Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL - Responsibilities:
• Work within a cross-functional team to understand requirements and drive the design and implementation of technical solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture groups on design proposals, development, and maintenance of applications.
• Address technical issues on projects, proactively engaging project team and clients with concerns.
• Troubleshoot technical issues to identify the root cause of problems.

Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years of working experience as a back-end Microservice developer.
• Must have 8+ years of working experience with Java, SQL.
• 8+ years of working experience with SOAP, JSON, RESTful services.
• 8+ years of working experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
• Proficient in build tools Git, Gradle, and Jenkins.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience using Swagger and Node.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Working experience with cloud service integration such as Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices like SSO, SAML for UI front-end integration and service APIs.
• Experience in collaborative tools such as Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket.

Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is from 07/13/2026 to 10/30/2026, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

ASAP.

Back-end Microservice Developer – Java & SQL - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2 days in the office.
