Bilingual Advisor, Cloud Infrastructure Design and Engineering

Procom is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Canadian organization for a Bilingual Advisor, Cloud Infrastructure Design and Engineering. This role is a senior technical authority position, responsible for defining, governing, and continuously improving the organization's cloud and infrastructure platforms across public cloud, hybrid, and on premises environments.
As technical design lead, you will translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, observable, automated, and cost-effective cloud solutions, while shaping cloud strategy, target state architectures, modernization roadmaps, and major technology investments. Working closely with infrastructure leadership and cross functional teams, you will provide expert guidance on cloud services, platform selection, design trade offs, and operational readiness, setting the technical direction for how cloud platforms are adopted, integrated, secured, and operated across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

-Evaluate emerging cloud services, infrastructure platforms, and technologies to support business objectives, operational needs, and future state architecture
-Conduct technical, operational, risk, and cost analyses to inform cloud strategy, infrastructure roadmaps, and investment decisions
-Design cloud centric solutions that balance security, scalability, resiliency, availability, supportability, performance, and cost optimization in collaboration with key stakeholders
-Ensure all cloud and infrastructure designs comply with security, privacy, risk, resilience, and applicable regulatory requirements, while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement
-Research, validate, pilot, and recommend new technologies, vendors, and services, while contributing to cloud and infrastructure strategy and modernization initiatives
-Define, govern, and enforce cloud infrastructure standards, design principles, reference architectures, reusable patterns, policies, operational guardrails, and API platform requirements
-Establish secure and scalable foundations for AI platforms, including landing zones, networking, identity, access controls, data access patterns, observability, and compliance requirements
-Provide senior technical leadership through design governance, a cloud infrastructure design forum, mentoring, stakeholder influence, risk management, and trusted advisory support across infrastructure, platform, security, application, and delivery teams Required Qualifications -A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
-At least 10 plus years of IT experience, including 5 plus years in senior technical roles, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise scale solutions, architecture, and technical roadmaps
-Extensive expertise in Azure, cloud infrastructure, and hybrid environments, including cloud platform design, validation, governance, and operations
-Strong knowledge of application platforms, middleware, virtualization, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as Code, capacity planning, and platform architecture
-Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux and UNIX environments such as Red Hat and AIX, and designing scalable, resilient containerized platforms
-Experience enabling DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud native engineering practices
-A deep understanding of enterprise networking, data platforms, database infrastructure, cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, compliance, and resiliency
-Expertise in designing and governing AI platform infrastructure and API management platforms, such as Azure AI Services and Azure API Management, including landing zones, networking, RBAC, security, scalability, observability, and governance
