Job Description

This is a hybrid contract role in FCP/SCC (2 days in office per week - Mondays & Tuesdays).

Role Overview:
The IT Business Analyst will lead business analysis activities to support platform transformation and business-as-usual (BAU) initiatives within the B2B banking and credit line of business. The role involves requirements elicitation, process modeling, solution validation, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. This position contributes to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis including requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution validation.
  • Analyze complex problems, interpret data, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical design, especially for platform transformation projects.
  • Review and ensure quality of deliverables such as requirements documents, process flows, and data models.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect triage and resolution.
  • Ensure solutions meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations before production deployment.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 7–10+ years of business analysis experience in financial services or capital markets.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience defining business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, process flows, data mapping, and acceptance criteria.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead complex initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience in Debt Capital Markets, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, Syndication, Investment Banking, or Global Markets.
  • Understanding of bonds, debt issuance lifecycle, book building, allocations, pricing workflows, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.
  • Familiarity with market data and capital markets platforms such as Bloomberg, IPREO, DirectBooks, Salesforce, or related systems.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools including Power BI, SQL, and data visualization platforms.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline (required).
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment with exposure to business users and solutioning.
  • Ability to manage overtime with managerial approval as needed.
  • Experience supporting BAU projects and newly created teams.

Qualifications

Experience in Debt Capital Markets, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, Syndication, Investment Banking, or Global Markets.: 3 - 5 years (Desired)
