On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst, Banking/FI – AI Initiatives for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Business Analyst, Banking/FI – AI Initiatives - Job Description:
The project involves integrating blockchain technology into mainstream financial institutions, focusing on digital asset initiatives within the Payments Engineering group. The role requires collaboration on strategic infrastructure development, leveraging the bank's existing technology base to enhance the competitive edge in the trillion-dollar payments industry.

Business Analyst, Banking/FI – AI Initiatives - Responsibilities:
• Support the analysis, documentation, testing, and validation of business requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams across the bank and external partners
• Translate complex business needs into functional requirements and user stories
• Contribute to workshops and working sessions for requirements gathering and analysis
• Design and optimize payment processes, ensuring industry compliance and regulatory standards
• Support scrum master and project manager in planning and impact analysis
• Perform gap analysis, root cause assessments, and release readiness reviews
• Monitor post-implementation performance and incident resolution

Business Analyst, Banking/FI – AI Initiatives - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst delivering technology transformation initiatives in Banking, Wealth Management, or Capital Markets
• 3+ years of experience with AI, GenAI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
• 5+ years of experience documenting business requirements, user stories, and transformation roadmaps
• 3+ years of experience with enterprise modernization initiatives involving API integrations and cloud transformation

Business Analyst, Banking/FI – AI Initiatives – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous financial institution experience
• Advanced degree in an AI-related field
• Experience with AI-enabled delivery tools and GenAI platforms
• Experience with data migration, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python

Business Analyst, Banking/FI – AI Initiatives – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is from ASAP to October 31st, with a possibility of extension for up to 12 months or conversion to full-time employment.
