Business Analyst:
On behalf of our retail energy client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.


Business Analyst - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to a project aimed at upgrading existing platforms to enhance operational efficiency. The role involves bridging IT capabilities with business objectives through effective requirement gathering and solution design.


Business Analyst - Responsibilities:
• Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements and process flows.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
• Assist in estimating and coordinating resources throughout a project lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.
• Facilitate communication between IT and business teams.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure successful system implementation.
• Provide documentation, training, and support to end-users.


Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years as an IT Business Analyst, preferably within the retail energy industry.
• Proficiency in enterprise solutions such as Salesforce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong interpersonal skills.


Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Professional Business Analyst certification.
• Knowledge of business process modeling and improvement techniques.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and integrations.
• Certifications in relevant technologies or project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.


Business Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.


Business Analyst - Assignment Location:
Calgary or Edmonton Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office.
