Business Analyst – Capital Markets
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst – Capital Markets for a 5.5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Job Description:
The role supports the Structured Products Project, focusing on Credit Products, specifically within the warehousing phase of a Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) product. The ideal candidate will operate as a lead or sole Business Analyst on complex initiatives, ensuring alignment across senior stakeholders.

Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Responsibilities:
• Work closely with credit and rates derivative traders and sales, as well as GRM and other control partners, to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Lead requirements gathering and elicitation, ensuring business specifications and requirements documentation are accurate, comprehensive, and suitable for sizing and development.
• Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models as required.
• Participate in the development of detailed project plans and monitor progress against planned objectives.
• Liaise between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.
• Support testing, release execution, and production issues, including escalation management during critical release cycles.

Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years as a BA with hands-on capital markets experience.
• Expertise in credit and structured products, especially CLOs.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and capital markets workflows.
• Experience with end-to-end trade workflows among Front, Middle, and Back Offices systems.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server, with the ability to create and run queries independently.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to operate as a lead/sole Business Analyst on complex initiatives.

Business Analyst – Capital Markets – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in capturing business requirements for building a Derivate Products Trading Application.
• Familiar with Trade Life Cycle for derivative products events.
• Strong knowledge of market and reference data used to price and manage credit and derivative instruments.
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, and similar work management/collaboration tools.

Business Analyst – Capital Markets – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position up to December 20th, with the possibility of extension and conversion to FTE.

ASAP.

Business Analyst – Capital Markets - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days in the office per week.
