On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - Intermediate for a 13 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Orillia, Ontario office.

Business Analyst - Intermediate - Job Description
The Business Analyst - Intermediate will be involved in providing a comprehensive range of IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs. This role focuses on understanding and documenting business requirements to facilitate effective IT solutions. The project involves enhancing business processes and aligning them with strategic I&IT initiatives.

Business Analyst - Intermediate - Responsibilities
• Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and analyze requirements
• Prepare and advise on business analysis policies, processes, and best practices
• Lead and conduct business analysis to assess business problems/opportunities
• Develop strategies, business cases, and conduct feasibility studies for IT initiatives
• Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, and process/data flow modeling
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report to management and stakeholders
• Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for evaluation

Business Analyst - Intermediate - Mandatory Skills
• 4 years of experience as IT Business Analyst
• Experience with DevOps, Figma, JIRA, MIRO
• Some lead/project management experience
• Experience conducting requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with a track record for meeting deadlines

Business Analyst - Intermediate – Nice-to-Have Skills
• Public sector experience
• Knowledge of Information Management principles and practices
• Experience with business process mapping and functional modeling
• Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA)
• Experience with CASE tools for documenting requirements

Business Analyst - Intermediate – Assignment Length
This is a 13 month contract position.
