Business Analyst:
On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

Business Analyst - Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Model Risk Management (MRM) team, playing a crucial role in the development and enhancement of a new, unified platform for our Risk organization. The Business Analyst will act as a vital conduit between the Model Risk Management business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring the resulting platform is robust, scalable, and compliant with all regulatory standards.

Business Analyst - Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements aligned with MRM policies and governance standards.
• Work closely with the Product Owner to break down high-level Epics into well-defined, actionable user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria.
• Document current and future state workflows for model development, independent validation, approval, and ongoing monitoring.
• Partner with the QA team to develop detailed test cases and scenarios specific to MRM workflows.
• Serve as a key communication bridge between model validators, model owners, senior MRM leadership, and technology teams.

Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Model Risk Management or model validation.
• Strong understanding of model risk management principles and regulatory expectations.
• Experience with large-scale data migration projects.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in reviewing test cases and supporting the quality assurance process.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Familiarity with quantitative risk functions in MRM.
• Experience involving model inventory or risk data.
• Ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders across various levels.
• Understanding of SR 11-7, SS1/23, or equivalent regulatory guidance.
• Experience in process improvement initiatives.

Business Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 7 month contract position.

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office.
