Business Analyst / Product Owner:
On behalf of our Public Sector client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst / Product Owner for a 6-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Business Analyst / Product Owner - Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Business Analyst / Product Owner to enhance operations through IT software products and features. The role involves bridging business needs with technical solutions, focusing on improving public transit efficiency and rider experience.

Business Analyst / Product Owner - Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and systems within transit operations.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and functional specifications.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions for operational improvements.
• Act as liaison between stakeholders and development teams, prioritizing product backlogs.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the Agile lifecycle.
• Facilitate decision-making and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Business Analyst / Product Owner - Mandatory Skills:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Product Ownership roles.
• Experience working within a Transit Agency.
• Proven experience on projects within the Public Sector.
• Strong understanding of Bus Operations.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Business Analyst / Product Owner – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CSPO).
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and requirements.

Business Analyst / Product Owner – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract to start.
