Job Description
Business Analyst - SharePoint:On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - SharePoint for an 8 month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary office.
Business Analyst - SharePoint - Job Description:
The Business Analyst supports a complex SharePoint migration and Microsoft 365 transformation initiative. This role involves working closely with the Senior Project Manager, technical teams, and client stakeholders to ensure business requirements, content decisions, processes, and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and executed.
Business Analyst - SharePoint - Responsibilities:
• Work with the Senior Project Manager, technical teams, and client stakeholders throughout the migration
• Gather and document business, content, process, security, and compliance requirements
• Help determine what content should be migrated, archived, updated, or retired
• Run workshops and working sessions to confirm requirements and resolve gaps
• Document processes, business rules, user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and post-migration validation
• Track requirements, decisions, defects, risks, and business sign-offs
• Keep business owners informed of actions, impacts, timelines, and decisions
• Support cutover, transition, and handover to operations
Business Analyst - SharePoint - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of business analysis experience supporting complex, client-facing technology projects
• Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, validation, and change management
• Experience facilitating workshops and working with business, technical, and senior stakeholders
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing, defect resolution, and business sign-off
• Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Business Analyst - SharePoint – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience supporting a large-scale SharePoint migration or Microsoft 365 transformation
• Experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint on-premises, metadata, permissions, integrations, or retention requirements
• Experience supporting migration discovery, execution, validation, transition, and stabilization
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Visio, Planner, or similar tools
• Experience in energy, utilities, oil and gas, or another large enterprise environment
