Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Senior IT Business Consultant to support the Securitization portfolio. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (2 days in office per week).

Role Overview:
The Senior IT Business Consultant will maintain delivery continuity and mitigate execution risk across active and upcoming initiatives within the Securitization portfolio. This role involves collaborating with various teams to translate business requirements into actionable reporting and application features, ensuring they align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams including Front Office, Finance, Market Risk, and Technology to facilitate reporting needs.
- Collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into design specifications for new reporting/application features.
- Document business requirements and prioritize items to establish a clear scope for projects.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and secure buy-in for proposed solutions.
- Analyze and interpret business requirements, conducting current/target/gap analyses.
- Validate solutions and testing approaches to ensure they meet business needs.
- Identify and implement fixes for production issues and collaborate with downstream and external stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of requirements/design methodology.
- Proficient in data modeling, design, and static data management.
- Solid experience in Capital Markets, specifically MBS Securitization and Fixed Income.
- Proficient in SQL/Oracle database management and query optimization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick adaptability.
- Front-end experience with securitization tools.

Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with US Whole loans business within capital markets.

Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrates significant tenure in prior roles, reflecting commitment and reliability.
- Possesses strong analytical prowess, capable of resolving complex technical issues.
- Engages proactively with projects and various stakeholders, displaying curiosity and initiative.

Qualifications

Solid experience in Capital Markets, specifically MBS Securitization and Fixed Income. : 5 - 8 years (Required)
