Business Consultant:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Consultant for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Business Consultant - Job Description:
The Business Consultant will support the Analytics & Reporting group within Technology & Operations Capital Markets. The role focuses on business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and the development of reporting and analytics solutions, including Power BI dashboards. This position plays a key role in the UK T+1 initiative and contributes to ongoing analytics, automation, and process improvement efforts, driving measurable business value.

Business Consultant - Responsibilities:
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand and document business and data requirements related to the UK T+1 initiative.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions to identify business logic, data definitions, metrics, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process documentation, and project artifacts.
• Collaborate with technology teams to design, test, and implement data views, datasets, and reporting solutions.
• Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of reports.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards to support program governance and operational monitoring.
• Support project planning, testing, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications throughout the initiative lifecycle.

Business Consultant - Mandatory Skills:
• University degree in Business, Commerce, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, analytics, reporting, consulting, or project delivery roles.
• Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and translating business needs into reporting solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and technology teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience performing data analysis, data validation, and dashboard development.
• Strong understanding of reporting, analytics, and business intelligence concepts.

Business Consultant – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of Capital Markets, Operations, Trade Servicing, Settlement, or T+1 processes.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation or regulatory initiatives.
• Familiarity with automation and continuous improvement initiatives in analytics or reporting functions.

Business Consultant – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.

Business Consultant - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The position is hybrid with 2 days in office per week.
