Job Description
BMO is currently sourcing for a Business Process Analyst. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (4 days in office per week).
Role Overview:
The Business Process Analyst supports the TPS line of business by analyzing and designing business processes to improve operational efficiency. The role involves evaluating current processes, designing future state processes, and ensuring effective implementation and measurement. This position contributes to optimizing workflows and enhancing business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current (As-is) process models and compare them to future (To-be) designs to identify necessary changes.
- Design and manage changes to business processes to achieve improved operational states.
- Identify, document, and analyze business rules governing process implementation.
- Test and execute processes to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Assess the impact of process changes on people, strategy, software applications, and business operations.
- Collect and analyze feedback on process performance to inform future improvements.
- Monitor and measure process effectiveness and detect inefficiencies within workflows.
- Utilize spreadsheet software, flow-charting tools, and business process analysis tools.
Must-Have Skills:
- 3-5 years of process consulting or engineering experience (beyond technical business analysis).
- Experience in leadership roles, including running workshops.
- Ability to analyze information from customers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis methods to help clients achieve goals.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with VISIO or other process mapping tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in leading process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with holistic process impact analysis across business functions.
- Ability to manage multiple process analysis projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in financial services or related industries is a plus.
