On behalf of our Insurance client, Procom is searching for a Business Systems Analyst (QA & Data Focus) for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Waterloo office.

Business Systems Analyst (QA & Data Focus) - Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with a strong focus on Quality Assurance and Data Analysis to join our team. This role involves ensuring data integrity and system reliability through rigorous analysis, testing, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will work on validating complex data pipelines, reporting systems, and business workflows.

Business Systems Analyst (QA & Data Focus) - Responsibilities:
• Partner with business stakeholders, Product Managers, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, data requirements, and testable acceptance criteria
• Lead the design and execution of comprehensive test strategies, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Validate system functionality, integrations, and reporting outputs against business requirements
• Perform data validation and reconciliation using SQL and analytical techniques
• Provide clear status updates, test reports, and risk assessments to stakeholders

Business Systems Analyst (QA & Data Focus) - Mandatory Skills:
• 5–8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, QA Analyst, or similar role with strong data focus
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation, querying, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics or similar
• Experience testing BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Proven ability to create and execute test plans and QA strategies
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end QA lifecycle
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Business Systems Analyst (QA & Data Focus) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Familiarity with test automation tools for data validation
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms
• Exposure to data governance or data quality frameworks

Business Systems Analyst (QA & Data Focus) – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role with bi-monthly in-office requirements.
