Buyer II:
On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for a Buyer II for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Akron, Ohio 44333 office.

Buyer II - Job Description:
The Buyer II will support purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors to ensure optimal procurement processes. This role involves evaluating vendor quotes and services to identify the most desirable suppliers, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.

Buyer II - Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and support purchasing activities related to materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and terms.
• Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand material and equipment needs.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in procurement activities.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements in procurement operations.

Buyer II - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in purchasing or a related area.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in procurement.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in evaluating vendor quotes and services.

Buyer II – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of supply chain management software.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
• Creativity in developing procurement strategies.
