Buyer:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Buyer for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Houston, Texas office.

Buyer - Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous Buyer who will lead material and service procurement activities, including vendor identification, evaluation, and selection. The Buyer will work in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely and quality delivery of goods and services, contributing to process improvements and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.

Buyer - Responsibilities:
• Process internal project/operation client requests for the supply of goods and services
• Manage competitive sourcing processes
• Develop, issue, and manage RFPs, RFQs, RFIs
• Conduct bid spreadsheet analyses and proposal commercial evaluations
• Liaise with bidders, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders
• Assemble and administer purchase order documents
• Maintain purchase order records in SAP
• Provide purchase order status updates
• Manage and resolve invoice exceptions

Buyer - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or relevant field
• 5-10 years of purchasing or project management experience
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proficient in PC applications
• Strong understanding of Incoterms
• Ability to work under tight deadlines

Buyer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Commercial negotiating skills
• SAP - Buyer Role experience
• Power BI experience
• Oil and gas industry experience

Buyer – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
