Job Description
BMO is currently sourcing for a Camunda 7 Developer (Senior).
This is a hybrid contract role in FCP (2 days in office per week: Mondays and Fridays).
Role Overview:
The Camunda 7 Developer will design, implement, and maintain business process automation solutions using the Camunda platform. This role involves developing BPMN workflows and DMN decisions, integrating these with Java microservices, and deploying solutions on AWS. The position supports Technology & Operations development projects, enhancing workflow automation and operational efficiency within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, model, and implement BPMN workflows and DMN decisions using Camunda Modeler
- Install, configure, deploy, and manage Camunda 7 in production environments
- Integrate Camunda workflows with Java microservices using Spring Boot
- Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs supporting automated processes
- Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for workflow performance
- Deploy Camunda BPM solutions on AWS in cloud-native and managed configurations
- Set up monitoring, logging, and single sign-on for enterprise workflow systems
- Containerize BPM solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
- Troubleshoot issues within Cockpit and managed production environments
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable automation
- Document solution designs, implementation details, and operational procedures
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with Camunda BPM and business process development
- Expert-level Java/J2EE development (Spring, Hibernate, REST, multithreading)
- 2+ years of AWS experience (EC2, RDS, IAM, Lambda, S3)
- Proficient in BPMN and DMN modeling with the Camunda toolset
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong background in SQL and database performance tuning
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture and system integration
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and security frameworks
- Experience with Agile, Git, Jenkins/Maven, and CI/CD workflows
Nice to Have Skills:
- Mastery of Camunda Modeler and Cockpit interfaces
- Solid object-oriented and functional programming practices
- Ability to convert business workflows into efficient automation
- Familiarity with BPM lifecycle best practices and agile collaboration
Ideal Candidate:
- University degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working in collaborative, technology-driven teams
- Ability to start within two weeks’ notice
- Willingness to participate in technical testing demonstrating Camunda skills
