Job Description

Canadian Payroll Manager:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Canadian Payroll Manager for a 4-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Canadian Payroll Manager - Job Description:
The role involves supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of payroll services to ensure compliance with pay legislation and payroll accuracy across the enterprise. The Canadian Payroll Manager will provide subject matter expertise and advice related to payroll platforms, operations, and procedures, aligning with overall group goals.

Canadian Payroll Manager - Responsibilities:
• Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group
• Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives
• Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues
• Supports execution of strategic initiatives with stakeholders
• Conducts independent analysis to resolve strategic issues
• Provides day-to-day subject matter expertise for payroll operations
• Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders
• Monitors and tracks performance, addressing issues as needed
• Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
• Executes payroll services in partnership with stakeholders

Canadian Payroll Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
• Project Management/Program Management skills - In-depth
• Payroll program and/or operations focused experience - In-depth
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth
• Collaboration & team skills - In-depth
• Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth
• Data-driven decision-making - In-depth

Canadian Payroll Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous experience with Workday
• Experience with outsource payroll providers

Canadian Payroll Manager – Assignment Length:
This is a 4-month contract position.

Canadian Payroll Manager - Start Date:
ASAP.

Canadian Payroll Manager - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada; this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days in the office per week.
