Senior Cloud Security Specialist:
On behalf of our Technology client, Procom is searching for a Senior Cloud Security Specialist for a permanent role. This position is a remote position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Senior Cloud Security Specialist - Job Description:
The Senior Cloud Security Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a secure cloud environment and embedding security throughout the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC). The role involves ensuring cloud platforms and applications are protected through the implementation of industry best practices and security controls.

Senior Cloud Security Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Serve as the technical expert for cybersecurity controls protecting client's cloud infrastructure, applications, and data.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls aligned with industry best practices.
• Advise leadership and technology teams on cybersecurity threats and trends.
• Lead security activities throughout the SSDLC and perform security reviews of cloud-native applications.
• Monitor and enhance cloud security posture and manage cloud-native security services.
• Investigate security incidents and coordinate remediation activities.
• Review vulnerability assessment and penetration testing results and prioritize identified risks.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity KPIs and operational metrics.

Senior Cloud Security Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Information Technology and Cybersecurity.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience securing cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture and identity and access management.
• Experience supporting SSDLC and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience performing vulnerability management and risk assessments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts.
• Experience with AWS Services like EC2, VPC, IAM, and Lambda.

Senior Cloud Security Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications.
• Experience working with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).
• Experience within ISO 27001 aligned environments.
• Experience with security automation and scripting.
• Experience securing serverless and containerized workloads.

Senior Cloud Security Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a permanent position.
